Mr Marley's Memorial Orchard

On Tuesday 27th April 2021, Abingdon marked a year since the sad passing of our former site manager Mr Harry Marley. We planted small fruit trees - plum, pear, cherry and apple - to create our own orchard. We have had a special plaque made to commemorate Mr Marley's service to Abingdon over the years he worked here. 

Each class came outside and some children were chosen to help plant each tree. The children made some very thoughtful comments and we are all looking forward to harvesting the fruit in a few years' time to continue remembering Mr Marley.
